I read every email that comes through, though it may take me a day or two to respond if I’m in the middle of a shoot or buried in negatives. This inbox is the front door to everything that happens here, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
For editors, architects, and property owners: I take on a small number of commissioned assignments each year — typically projects where the building itself carries a story worth telling on film. If you have a space you’d like documented in medium format or 35mm, tell me about the light, the materials, and what drew you to it.
For fellow photographers and historians: The journal has grown into a place where I publish long-form pieces about analog technique and the visual history of places. I welcome thoughtful pitches, especially those rooted in firsthand experience with a particular camera, film stock, or property. If you have an idea that sits at the intersection of grain and architecture, I’d love to hear it.
For everyone else: Maybe you found a roll of old film in a demolished building, or you’re trying to identify a camera from a photograph, or you just want to talk about why certain interiors feel different on Portra than they do on digital. Those are the conversations I enjoy most. Write anyway.

I’m based in the northeastern United States and travel often for work. If a project requires a site visit, I’m happy to discuss logistics and timing once I understand the scope.
I don’t maintain active social media accounts for the publication, but you’ll find my work and occasional process notes in the journal here on the site. The best way to stay connected is to bookmark the blog or send a note — I mean that genuinely. This place is built around depth, not speed, and that shapes how I communicate too.
